I put up a professional website, then realized that I have no samples to post, because it's all proprietary information, so what the heck, my personal site is back, if grossly outdated. I also just enjoy designing sites, so I don't mind the 30% complete "Hi there, please hire me" site. Whatever. My hobbies are taking up a ton of my time lately...

I have an awesome "feels like a piano" digital piano as of Feb 17. First pieces on my list:

  • Beethoven's Pathétique (the last thing I learned before going off to college almost TWENTY YEARS AGO)
  • Rachmaninov's Prelude in C# minor
  • Brahms Rhapsody #1
  • Chopin - a ton of stuff. He's my favorite.

What can I say. I'm a romantic at the piano, if nowhere else.

I'm getting better at Russian and will be reading "The Little Prince" in Russian by fall.

At this point, I've spent way too much on inventory to not return to my jewelry-making.

Cat petting. I could do this professionally.

AS OF JAN 7

Listening... KEXP, a ton of piano-only classical so I can pick which stuff to learn to play

Reading... Oxford Book of Modern Science Writing, edited by big scary atheist Richard Dawkins. Russian textbooks up the ying yang. Rereading Harry Potter. Yes.

Eye Candy... I haven't had time to watch much lately, but I did see The King's Speech and Black Swan in the past few months and thought both were outstanding. Black Swan is nightmareville though. Don't see it at night.
